Let's go bird watching!

I've wanted to do this spot as a formal nature walk for a while, as the Irvine Water District is a fun little laid back series of trails and man-made lakes that serves as the main environment for a wildlife and duck sanctuary and can be a great spot to relax and chill near the water!

We'll be meeting first at the actual Duck Club building, in the Irvine Water District next to the San Joaquin reservoir! The venue can be difficult to find if you've never been there and are relying on electronic navigation. The key to getting there is entering off of Campus Drive, near University Drive; you have to take your first right onto Riparian View as you proceed on Campus Drive headed away from University Drive (you can't get there headed towards University, unless you make a U-turn at University).

As for the event proper my plan is to hang out at the duck club entrance or tables and once we wait long enough, then we walk around a while to take a look at nature and do a spot of bird watching I reckon! So its gonna be like a picnic and a lakeside walk while just chilling till the sunset and then roll out after! Walk shouldn't be more than a couple miles max on a flat dirt road but the place is kinda big and uniform so if you show up a bit late it might be easy to get lost :P

PARKING: As you turn in, you'll see a ramp on the right leading down towards a lake. THIS IS THE PARKING AREA. Please DO NOT Park in the parking area around the Duck Club, ONLY around the lake. These are IRWD rules, and we want to follow them so we can continue to use their space.
