Hello, everyone! I am planning a winter hike at Crochet Mountain in Greenfield, NH. We will be traveling via Shannon' trail. It is an 3.3-mile out & back trail with an elevation gain of 843 feet. The featured photo is one that I took on a previous hike. There are some very scenic views! Please note that I am also posting this event in the "Outdoor Adventures 20s and 30s" Meetup group and the "20s and 30s All is Wellness" Meetup group.

**Please note the following gear for this hike in lieu of the fall/winter time of year:**
Water (at least 2 bottles)
**Microspikes (these are a must!)**
Hiking Shoes
Winter Jacket
Gloves and headbands/hats
Snacks as needed

Parking is located off of Crotched Mountain Road: please select the [Crotched Mountain Lookout via Shannon's Trail , New Hampshire - 453 Reviews, Map | AllTrails](https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/new-hampshire/crotched-mountain-lookout-via-shannons-trail) directions tab in the AllTrails app for driving directions. The parking lot is a dirt parking lot and restrooms are available upon parking. Although I don't anticipate any parking issues, I cannot guarantee that there will be enough parking spaces and for those bringing guests, please carpool.

Plan to be in the parking lot at 9:15am. We will meet there and wait for everyone to gather. We will begin the hike at around 9:30am. Please remember to update your RSVP if you are unable to attend!

I estimate that the hike will take around 3 hours, but we will stop for breaks along the way as needed. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you are concerned about the difficulty of this hike. I want friends to feel comfortable and our pace won’t leave anyone behind.
