This 25+ oriented skateboard groups goal is to create a social atmosphere of skateboard enthusiasts of any skill level, any kind of human (should we be inviting Aliens now too? š)
Some of us may have skated a lot as teens and got caught up in adulthood and are making a skateboarding comeback. Some may be brand new to the sport. Some of us never stopped and keep on chugging. Letās have fun and maybe we can even make some skate videos of each other. Or play pig.
We will hit a skatepark every Saturday at 1pm starting August 19, 2023. (Unless it rains)
We will collectively vote on which park to hit the following week.
If youāre looking at this post and there is no other park specified, assume Vic West skatepark on Esquimalt rd.
We will meet up at the south west corner of the skatepark every time so we know itās this group.
This is by donation. This covers the cost of posting on meetup and the dream would be to donate to under privileged kids to cover the cost of participating in skateboard camp and possibly provide new or used skateboards paid for from the collective donations or donate gear ourselves. This is absolutely not for profit, zero earnings directly from this group. Itās all about the love of skateboarding and passing that love down to future generations. Iām so very open to feedback and ideas.
