2nd Friday Ballroom Night

LA's Most Exciting Ballroom Social
2nd Friday is an evening of Ballroom Dancing and a community of friends who enjoy good music, good dancing, and good company.

What to expect
When you arrive at the studio (Hollywood Academy of Dance), please drive your vehicle into the alley that runs behind the studio using the entrance from Kittridge Street. The complementary valet will take care of your vehicle once you pull up behind the studio. From here, you will enter the studio from the back and proceed down the hallway to the ballroom where a member of the event staff will accept your entrance fee and reservation fee (if you have reserved a Private host or a seat at the Relevé Tables) and direct you to your seats.
A complimentary group class will be taught from 7:30 to 8:00. At 8:00 the social dancing will start and will run to the end of the night at 10:30. We do allow our guests to bring their own food and beverage if they like. We are not licensed to serve or sell either food or alcohol, but there will be light refreshments and snacks provided.

Hosting Options
Three different kinds of professional hosts will present at this event:
1. The Event Host: JD Davis is the event host and event producer. He is available to dance with any and all event attendees.
2. The Relevé Table Hosts: The Relevé Tables are the tables with red tablecloths. Each table is hosted by a professional host to ensure that the guests seated at the Relevé Tables are able to find a dance partner more often. This hosting option is popular with guests who are newer to the community as well as guests who are on a budget but would still like to dance with a professional.
3. Private hosting: Private hosting is hiring a professional dance host to dance with you and/or your party. Private hosting could last the whole event or be restricted to a specific time frame depending on what has been arranged beforehand.
