309 Westies - West Coast Swing Dancing

Kerry will run drills and teach 'beyond beginner' concepts for first 20-30 minutes. Then turn on music for open practice and be available for questions. Recommend that you have taken our beginner 1 or 2 class or have west coast swing experience from elsewhere.

4-week Beginner 1 West Coast Swing progressive series with Kerry!

This progressive series is designed for the dancer new to West Coast Swing, and is also open to experienced dancers that want to improve their basics. Over 4 weeks we will progress through basic WCS patterns and partnering to get you comfortable dancing this fun dance. No partner or prior dance experience needed.

Enrollment is open for 5 leaders and 5 followers.

Each class will be 1 hour followed by a 30-min practice session that will allow you to work on the patterns and skills you learned in the class.

Class dates are Tuesdays Oct 1, 8, 15, and 22.

Cost per series is $40 for all 4 weeks. Cash, Paypal, Venmo, and Zelle accepted.

You will need flexible, smooth soled shoes that stay on your feet (no flip flops or slides) and clothes that you feel comfortable moving in. Water bottle also encouraged.

$20 at the door for adults 21 and over
$10 for youth under 21
*If you are under 18 we request you bring a chaperone over the age of 18.

OTHER INFO:

• Water Bottle Policy: You may bring an empty bottle to the dance. (This is due to alcohol and beverage sales at the venue). At the door you will get a water token, which is redeemable at the bar for either a fill-up of your empty water bottle or a plastic bottle of water. Water always available for purchase for $1.
• There will be light snacks.
• No partner needed. We are a friendly bunch and mix during the lesson and dance.
• No experience needed. We will teach you how to West Coast Swing!
