This month's book is The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K. Le Guin. A human travels to an icy planet called Winter to persuade its citizens to join a intergalactic union. However, the residents of Winter are gender fluid. Success is dependent on the human finding a way to bridge the culture clash and maybe even see the galaxy in a whole new light.
