Read 'n' Watch Discussion - The Girl with All the Gifts

I'm scheduling our 2nd Read 'n' Watch waaaay ahead of time, so people have time to both read and watch this one. This is more than a book club discussion. These will be focused on books that have also been made into movies or TV shows, so we can discuss the differences, which we prefer, how they each handled the material, etc.

For our 2nd one, we'll discuss The Girl with All the Gifts. It's a novel by M.R. (Mike) Carey. The 2016 movie, starring Glenn Close, can be found on Starz, Youtube, Hulu, Sling, Prime, Philo, and more.

Here's a summary of the book:
"The story is set in a dystopian world overrun by a fungal infection that turns people into “hungries,” mindless and cannibalistic creatures. The novel follows the journey of a young girl named Melanie, who is unlike other children infected with the fungus."
