Talk & Tour: Flatwoods Habitat Management & Red-cockaded Woodpeckers

Details

"Come out and learn about the endangered Red-cockaded woodpecker and it’s vital role in the flatwoods ecosystem."

"Heartwood Preserve is a natural cemetery within a 41-acre conservation sanctuary located in the New Port Richey, Florida area. We conserve the natural habitats found here—longleaf pine flatwoods and cypress dome wetlands. Burials do not take place in the wetland areas. Every family who chooses the natural burial of a loved one at Heartwood is an integral part of protecting this special environment."

This is a beautiful, serene spot where people go to meditate, walk, and explore native plants & wildlife. Come join me for this interesting talk.

As usual, RSVPs close the day before the event, so please make any changes before then. No-shows will be removed from the group. (This includes people who drop after RSVPs close.)
