On Saturday, December 16th, volunteers will lay 255,000 veterans’ wreaths at Arlington National Cemetery. These wreaths symbolize a commitment to Remember and Honor our nation’s veterans through the laying of wreaths on the graves of our country’s fallen heroes. Once in the cemetery, you'll pick up a wreath, select a grave, and place the wreath on a grave. Please then take a moment to remember and honor our nation’s country’s fallen heroes by ***saying the name of each veteran aloud.***

We'll gather under the I-395 overpass for S. Joyce street at the west end of the Pentagon Hayes Street parking lot. Be there, ready to walk, to the back gate of A.N.C.

After laying the wreath, we'll walk around ANC and visit the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, followed by lunch at a the Celtic House restaurant. Over the course of the event, you'll cover about four miles walking around.

To Attend:

1. RSVP to this event.
2. You must present a valid U.S. state or federal government-issued photo identification for entry. Persons who are not U.S. citizens must present a valid passport or U.S. State Department-issued photo identification for entry.

Dress for the weather. This event is on rain or shine.

Although this event allows an unlimited participation in wreath laying, the space for lunch is limited to the first 30 people on the going list (sort by RSVP time).
