Name: Mid Week Hike -Bear's Den

This hike is often referred to as the roller coaster and is considered a great training route for both distance and elevation. From the trail head at Bears Den we will head south on the AT for approximately 4 miles before stopping for a rest/snack and then returning. The terrain is generally soft/hard dirt with some rocks in a few places but this time of year likely covered with leaves. Good hiking shoes a must. Hiking poles not necessary but some may prefer them on the rolling terrain.

**Miscellaneous Notes**: There is ample parking at the trail head. A port-a-potty is also available.
