What we’re about
We are about fun and friendship. We schedule dancing, wine tastings, dinner, movies, plays, concerts, fairs and festivals, sporting and volunteer events and a whole lot more. Most of our activities are on the weekend and are scheduled in the Western suburbs, (Wheaton, Downers Grove, Naperville area) but not all. We are open to adding new organizers to our group as that means more variety of events and more fun for all. Message us through our site if you have an activity you want to organize. To join our group, you must use your real first name preferably with a last name or initial, and have a recent picture of yourself (just you, not multiple people) on your Meetup profile. We need to be able to see your face on the photo (No exceptions!). If your photo is blurry you will be declined. We do not approve out of state requests to join or if you live too far away since that seems to invite more "no shows" at events. Our group is for people aged 40 and over. For some events we may charge a small fee to help cover the cost of this site. If you have many RSVP day-of-event cancellations, No-Shows, or violate our Code of Conduct clause, you will get dropped from our group.
Everyone applying to join our Meetup group agrees they will not misrepresent themselves, or any material facts about themselves, to gain entry into our group. We reserve the right to deny anyone from joining our meetup group and also to remove anyone from our Meetup group, at any time, for any reason.
Member Responsibility/Code of Conduct: All our members are expected to treat others with respect and not send inappropriate messages to others or post negative or non-event related messages or photos on our site. Please do not advertise your business using our Meetup site. Please see our full Member Responsibility and Code of Conduct Clause located on the "Discussions" tab.
