Lets participate in the Wreaths Across America program and place Christmas wreaths on the grave site of each Veteran at the Alexandria National Cemetery in Old Town Alexandria. There are approximately 4,500 grave sites.
Alexandria National Cemetery was the FIRST National Cemetery, established in 1862. Arlington National Cemetery was the second. There are over 152 National Cemeteries in the United States, plus 26 overseas cemeteries, the best known being the American Cemetery at Normandy, France.
Opening ceremony at 9:30 am.
Wreaths will be provided.
Work gloves suggested and clothing to tolerate the pine sap.
Rain/snow or shine.
