Cards For Hospitalized Kids! βΊοΈ
Details
Hi π all! I reached out to an awesome member of the group and her husband and I have this fantastic area where we can hold this event! π₯³ π
In case Google Maps is acting weird, the exact address is:
2211 S Military Hwy, Chesapeake, VA 23320
I will also have a sign board outside! It will have my phone number and you can text me to let you in through the front door, or you can come in through the side door and walk towards the back (center) of the building. I am thrilled and extremely grateful!
We have a nice big space, with even some sofa seating, there's a kitchen area, numerous outlets for appliances, and because it is not the same as a library, we can play music and have more lively discussion and there's sinks and various things to clean the area, counters to set snacks and do potlucks, etc.
Because of the extreme generosity, I still, of course, have basic rules. Like we always are, be respectful and courteous to others. Please be sure to not make a mess or get any spills on the sofas or rugs π --- I also aim to clean up when we are done, much like the library. I've set the guest limit at 13, for now. Supplies are provided, but you can bring things if you'd like!
Also, I'll bring some snacks, cups, and orange juice --- please do not feel compelled to bring a lot, if you do decide to bring something. To get back on track --- We can make all sorts of cards, but please refrain from making cards with messages like "Get well soon" (some children may get better, but some may not). Instead, you can say "You're strong!" or "You're a fighter!", things like that! Just remember to try to keep cards "neutral" (non-religious), per website guidelines, and nothing with excessive glitter that falls off in heavy amounts. For more details, please visit:

I am EXCITED and I hope to get more new ideas, and with a more flexible space, there's more potential! I will try to make as many cards as I can for the holidays! Thanks for reading! π π
