Basel Badgers MtB

Connecting bike-buddies in central Europe since 2011, the Basel Badgers are an English speaking, off-road bike community. We are primerilly Basel/Alsace/Blackforest oriented, typically riding for 2-5hrs on single-track & forest trails with 300-1000m ascents starting within 15Km of Basel (land/stadt) at weekends & mid-week days/evenings. We do bike skills & summer tours with frequent trips out of town to the mountain trails & bike-parks when open or accessible. During spring & autumn we attend XC/VTT/Enduro and festival events in the region. During the summer we have mid-week evening rides & BBQs with some excursions to some of Europe's prime mountain bike trail areas. During the darker winter months we do mud & night-rides too. What's more, we have regular (beers & gears) social gatherings for food & drinks around Basel & beyond.

The Basel Badgers MtB Community began as a weekly bulletin to reduce spam & polarise a rapidly growing group of hap-hazzard bike buddies looking to get out on the trails, share a few beers & see more of the region & Europe. Now we are rigid, fat, hard & soft-tail platform & even familly friendly, 24/26/27.5/29" & Plus, Boost format friendly, loving single-track, rock, roots, mud & sunshine. We like improving our bike-skills, we crave cross-country, freeride, downhill, enduro, pump, dirt, slope & all-mountain styles. Our Honey Badgers have a bit more bite and are more comitted to hi-octane modes, they occasionally race and attend extreme events! We dig bike porn & social intercourse, BBQs, beer, food and everything inbetween - it's how we roll!
