What we’re about
We're a social bushwalking group, run by volunteers, catering for all levels of experience, ranging from half day walks, to challenging day and overnight walks, between 1-4 days. We'll be exploring reserves and national parks in around Canberra and beyond, including Namadgi, Kosciuszko, Blue Mountains, and the magnificent Budawangs.
Outside of bushwalking, we'll be running regular session for members to improve skills, share their experiences in navigation, packing for an overnight walk, equipment you use, future walks and regular social events.

So, if you've passionate about the outdoors, either new to hiking, would like improve your skills / confidence or just up for an adventure, this group is for you.
Now onto the boring bits:
Group sizes will be kept to a maximum of 10 people for challenging day walks or overnight walks, a maximum of 20 people for shorter easier half day walks and usually no limits for social / info events
We will post walks / events at least two weeks in advance, three for overnight walks, two months for long weekends, so:
With limited group sizes, we expect members to be respectful to everyone else, so there are a few rules you will need to observe:
1) When you RSVP for a walk, the walk leaders will be expecting to see you on the day, so:
1.1) If you can't make a walk please let the organiser know by no later than 5pm on the Wednesday before a walk, or 5pm on a Friday the week before an overnight walk. By not showing this courtesy you will be banned for one walk, two for an overnight walk, do it three times or drop out after 5pm on a Thursday before a walk you will be considered as a no-show.
1.1.1) This also applies to people on the wait list too
1.2) If you don't show up to a walk without letting the organiser know twice, you will be removed from the group.
1.2.1) If you are removed from the group, you are welcome to rejoin, but please think about why you were removed and if the group is for you.
1.3) We understand that life happens, and we will take that into consideration when you drop out of a walk.
2) Walks will start no later than 10min after the advertised start time, it is your responsibility to let the organiser know if you're going to be late. It may not be possible for you to catch up, so if we can we will wait for you to arrive.
3) If you would like to run a walk in the group, you need to do a minimum of 3 walks first.
4) You must accept the public waiver below
Public Waiver
By RSVP "Yes" to any events of our group is on the acknowledge and acceptance of our Public Waiver Section. When you join you have accepted that there is no public liability insurance.
