What we’re about
“A classic is classic not because it conforms to certain structural rules, or fits certain definitions (of which its author had quite probably never heard). It is classic because of a certain eternal and irrepressible freshness.” Edith Wharton
We read one classic book each month and then meet at some sort of location (coffee shop, bar, restaurant) to discuss it. Discussions are are casual and enhanced by questions and analysis that members bring.
Meeting attendees nominate titles for the next month's reading selection. Following the meeting, an online poll is opened and all group members can vote on the nominations.
There is a $10 annual membership fee which is due on or before attending your first meeting of the year.
See our historic reading list here.
