Afternoon French Conversation in Metropolitan DC est un groupe pour tous les francophones.
L'objectif du groupe est de promouvoir des rencontres intéressantes entre des personnes de même sensibilité pour parler le français dans un milieu détendu. Nos activités comprennent : Happy Hours, Soirées de danse, Cours de français, Cinémathèques, Visites de musée guidé, Dégustations de vin, Pique-niques, Cours de cuisine, Clubs de lecture et ainsi de suite.
Le groupe est ouvert à tous quelque soit votre niveau, que vous soyez débutant ou bien que le Français soit votre langue maternelle.

We bring people together to speak French in a relaxed environment. Our events include : Happy Hours, Dance Soirees, French Courses, Movie Viewings, Guided Museum Tours, Wine Tastings, Picnics, Cooking Classes, Book Clubs and so on.
This group is open to all levels of French speakers, from novice to native fluency.

What better way to celebrate the end of wine harvest in style than at the Embassy of France at DC’s only official celebration?
This is the Wine Event Of The Year!
The Beaujolais & Beyond Celebration is a French cultural “Fête” that will take place in accordance with popular French annual tradition and custom for uncorking the Beaujolais Nouveau wine. “Beaujolais & Beyond” will welcome wine lovers, foodies, Francophiles and party goers to the Embassy of France.
Beaujolais & Beyond is a must for wine lovers of savoir-vivre!
- It is an adult-only event. No one under 21 allowed.
- Dress Code: Cocktail attire. French accents (bleu, blanc, rouge) are welcome.
Join us for a joyous and lively evening featuring:
Delicious French food prepared by:
- Chef Daniel Labonne, Executive Chef at the Embassy of France
- Chef Hughes Cossard, Chef/Culinary Instructor at Stratford University and President/Owner of FoodExpression
- Open bar all night
- Beaujolais Nouveau all night
- Champagne and bubblies from France
- Excellent red, white and rose wines from Bordeaux, Burgundy, Loire Valley, Alsace. Rhone, Provence, etc.

5 Types of Tickets:
1. Premier Cru (General Admission) : Enter at 8pm, then enjoy wine, food, music and entertainment.
2. Grand Cru (VIP) : Enter at 7pm and enjoy delicious hors-d'oeuvres and special wines in an open bar setting and live piano music for the first hour. Of course, you then stay for the rest of the night.
3. Château Table Service for Singles: You will seat at a reserved table in a roped-off prime area but with up to 3 other guests, with unlimited Champagne, wine and personal service all night. Very limited number of tables so reserve early. An opportunity to make new friends and maybe plan a trip together to France?
4. Château Table Service for Couples (table for 2): You will seat at a reserved table for just you two, in a roped-off prime area, with unlimited Champagne, wine and personal service all night. Very limited number of tables so reserve early.
5. Château Table Service for 4: You will seat at a reserved table with up to 3 of your friends, in a roped-off prime area with unlimited Champagne, wine and personal service all night. Very limited number of tables so reserve early.
Payment Instructions :
1. Login to see the 'Pay Now' button, after RSVPing. Then hit the button.
2. Verify correct dollar amount for number of people you're paying for.
3. If you don't have a Paypal account, click "Pay with a Debit or Credit Card".
4. If you have a Paypal account, simply log in, and pay as you normally would via Paypal.
Refund and Ticket Resell Policy
All sales are final. We only refund the full amount, if the event is canceled. If it is rescheduled, we will send an email to ticket holders advising that. A full refund will be given to those that let us know within 2 calendar days of the update email, if you are unable to make it on the new date. No refunds will be given after that time.
However, you can sell your ticket to someone else if you are unable to attend. Please, feel free to post in the comment box for the event, that you have a ticket for sale. Work out payment between yourselves, and have the seller only send the organizer a message letting us know the full name of the person taking your spot. You must let us know two hours before the RSVP close time, on the day of the event.

ABOUT THE EVENT
Let us meet up for an online French Convo . It works the same as the live one, except we do it from the comfort of our home.
HOW IT WORKS :
- Sign up on Eventbrite for FREE.
- When you purchase a FREE ticket, you will be emailed the Event ID and Password, on the day of the event.
- As we try to make it a live event, you can't turn off your camera.
- We have limited spots and RSVP at your earliest convenience.
BYOB - Feel free to bring your own beverage (alcoholic/non-alcoholic).
