Well, right now it's looking like we've got a 50 / 50 shot of a rain-free evening for Thursday. So we'll see what happens. You'll want your HEADLAMP or flashlight for this one. It will be dark when we start this hike. It may also be on the cool side in the lower 50s. Autumn this week...will we squeeze in one more week of summer next week? In the Miami Valley, anything is possible with the weather! There are some hills on this hike, but none of them are especially demanding. Hiking shoes or hiking boots are recommended.

Please join me for a 5.5 - 6 mile moderate to brisk hike at the Narrows Reserve. We will start from the lower parking lot by the river (2641 Indian Ripple Road) hiking along the Little Miami River out to the Big Woods and Sugar Bush Loops.

If parking is full at the lower lot, you will need to park at the upper lot at the Nature Center (2575 Indian Ripple Road) and walk down to the lower lot. Parking in the grass or along the roadway is prohibited.

Please wear appropriate footwear (trail may be muddy along the river) and bring water, snacks, trekking poles, etc…

Let's get out for a morning hike at Grant Park. The hike will be 4 - 5 miles at a moderately brisk pace- about 3.0 mph. We'll start at the Nature Nook and cover parts of the yellow, brown, blue and red trails. There are a few hills and there is also trail construction in progress at Grant Park so we may have to backtrack/re-route. But we should not exceed 5 miles total. Wear sturdy footwear, dress for the weather and bring water. Hiking poles are helpful but not required.
