The Group Dazzling Dames is a group for women over age 50 residing in Williamson County. Our group is limited to 50 members to allow for the development meaningful relationships and sisterhood.
We have established member guidelines to help you understand how our group works. Please read the guidelines below to see if you think you are a fit for our group before signing up for our group.
MEMBER GUIDELINES
Participation Policy
New members must attend a "Monthly Community Meeting" event within 90 days of joining. The bi-monthly community meeting is scheduled on the second Thursday of every other month. This meeting will give you the opportunity to meet the members during your trial period and decide if you want to join the group as a member.
Because of our desire to keep our group small, we ask that you attend one event per month. After 2 months of inactivity, you will be contacted by an organizer to discuss your interest in continuing with the group. After 3 months of inactivity you will be automatically removed from the group under the assumption that you are no longer interested in membership.
Dues
Dues are currently $8.00 per year, per member. These dues will help to pay the monthly recurring Meetup fee, organizer expenses and, if any funds are remaining at the end of the year, a holiday party. After your 30 day trial, the annual dues are payable online. Dues are nonrefundable. We encourage you to try our group during your free one month trial period. If dues are unpaid after that, Meet-up will automatically delete you from the group.
All members will be required to host or co-host at least one event within a 6 month period. Hosting event opportunities are abundant and easy. All you have to do is notify the organizer or event coordinator of your desire to host an event, provide the pertinent details (date, time, place), make reservations when necessary and then attend the event. It is very simple and the organizer or coordinator will help you set them up. Hosting requirements can be met through events held in your home, public events, dining out, etc.
General Rules
Our desire is to have fun, stress free, relaxing events. To that end, sales or multi-level marketing events will not be placed on our meetup calendar.
Soliciting is strictly prohibited at our events.
Gossip or mean spirited talk will not be tolerated.
R.S.V.P. Policy
Please be considerate and provide cancellation notice 48 hours in advance for games and events that are hosted in someone's home or restaurants where advance reservations are required (Exceptions are made in cases of emergency). Please call the event host when you are cancelling at this time. It is imperative for games, since many require a certain number of attendees.
All other events require 24 hour advance notice of cancellation to allow others on the wait list an opportunity to attend. If you are unable to attend an event for which you have signed up for, please remove yourself from the event so that those on a wait-list may have an opportunity to join and please indicate the reason why your are unable to attend.
After 2 no-shows/last minute cancellations within a 3 month period, your membership may be suspended.
Members are required to provide their phone numbers and e-mail address so that they may be contacted and for our member directory. This is important so that we can contact you if you are late, or if a last minute change was made to an event (possible restaurant closings, etc) or so that you will know who lives in your area if you want to set up carpools, etc. And so that you will be able to contact the host of any event that you may have to cancel your attendance in advance.
ADVANCE TICKET PURCHASES
We try to avoid members being charged an additional 7 1/2 percent for advance ticket purchases to plays or concerts. Meetup charges these fees if we make it a prepaid purchase. So, If you respond yes to one of these events, you are totally responsible for the purchase price. If you decide that you are later unable to attend an event, you are responsible for either paying for your ticket anyway or finding someone else to attend the event in your place.
HOW TO JOIN
Click on the “Join” link, fill out the profile questionnaire and upload a recent photo. We ask for a photo so others in the group will know who to look for at events.
If our membership is not full, you will be approved within 7 days, however, we have been full at least for about a month at a time..
