Please join us Saturday for a run at Great Lawn Park. You can do loops around the park or for those who would like to venture a bit farther, you can run on an elevated path just South of the park @ 6th Ave - great views! For those training who need much longer routes, you can go South of the park to Alameda & run past Fairmont Cemetary & from there you can get on the Highline Canal trail & then come back. We will meet back at 8th & Uinta at 10am & go to a fave - Bertha’s Baja Bistro - 900 Jersey St Denver (berthasbajabistro.com) (NE corner of 9th & Jersey) Please note: Berthas limits how many credit cards they will run for groups but if you have cash they will ring you up separately. So bring cash if possible.

It's that time of year again . . . the holidays are fast-approaching. Thought it would be fun to have our weekly run in conjunction with the annual Jingle Bell Run at Wash Park. This is the 40th year anniversary of the Jingle Bell Run! This run is quite popular & a lot of fun. People get decked out in holiday costumes or at least wear a Santa hat. 2024 Jingle Bell Run - The Arthritis Foundation’s original Jingle Bell Run is a fun way to get decked out & be festive, while racing to raise funds and awareness to cure America’s #1 cause of disability. You can choose between 5K timed, 5K untimed, 1 mile untimed or kids fun run.

Event Location: Washington Park
Enter at East Mississippi & South Franklin Denver 80210

Event Schedule:
Packet pickup will be announced soon. Check website for details.
Street parking available around the perimeter of Wash Park.
Race starts at 9:30am but the kids fun run begins at 9am for those interested. We will meet towards the start line.
Course map has not been posted but the 5K course will wind around the interior of Wash Park - one full lap around Loop Rd before racing around Grasmere Lake a second time to the finish line. Dogs, strollers and walkers are welcome!

Can’t attend the event, but still want to be a part of the fun? Choose this option to receive a shirt and fundraise for a cure.

After the race, we will go to Reiver’s - 1085 S Gaylord St Denver 80209. We went here after Hot Chocolate race & everyone seemed to enjoy it. It’s also within walking distance from Wash Park so you won’t need to park again. I will make reservations at the restaurant for 10:30am. Please post if you plan to join us for brunch even if you don’t do the run by Fri Dec 6th so I can make reservations.

2025 DESTINATION RACE - Soldier Field 10 mile race in Chicago IL!
Every year D & D members do a destination race - Alaska, Hawaii, San Francisco, Ireland & Albuquerque! In 2025, we will be going to the “Windy City” for the Soldier Field 10 mile Memorial Day weekend race (soldierfield10.com). Plans already being put together for things to see & do over the weekend & some of the many different restaurants to enjoy! Please sign up if interested so we can share plans!
