What we’re about
This is a friendly group for anyone that is interested in the practice or guiding of Forest Bathing or Shinrin Yoku. We will be organising some guided forest bathing sessions and mindful walks and occasional nature therapy and eco therapy weekend retreats in the UK to bring people together to practise and share our experiences and learnings together and breathe in the forests.
Shinrin-Yoku, translated into English as ‘forest bathing', means taking in the forest atmosphere during a leisurely walk. It is a therapy that was developed in Japan during the 1980s, becoming a cornerstone of preventive health care, calming our nervous system, reducing stress, lowering blood pressure and boosting our immune system.
Nature and us are simply part of one another . The natural world is at the very heart of our being . If we are willing to listen and pay attention to nature, we will begin to recognise our innate sense of connection and belonging.
Mindfulness of the natural world and nature connection is likely to be one our deepest experiences we can give ourselves and our greatest opportunity to feel truly alive.
So if you feel drawn to explore and be inspired, then I heartily invite you to come along on one of our forest bathing walks that we organise throughout the wild seasons.
