Screening of "Plastic People: The Hidden Crisis of Microplastics"The ground-breaking feature documentary Plastic People investigates our addiction to plastic and the growing threat of microplastics on human health. Almost every bit of plastic ever made breaks down into “microplastics.” These microscopic particles drift in the air, float in all bodies of water, and mix into the soil, becoming a permanent part of the environment.
Now, leading scientists are finding these particles in our bodies: organs, blood, brain tissue, and even the placentas of new mothers. What is the impact of these invisible invaders on our health? And can anything be done about it?
Acclaimed author and science journalist Ziya Tong takes a personal approach by visiting leading scientists around the world and undergoing experiments in her home, on her food, and her body while collaborating with award-winning director Ben Addelman in an urgent call to action for all of us to rethink our relationship with plastic.

If you have COVID symptoms or are sick, don’t come! We want everyone safe, so don't come if you feel under-the-weather! By going on this outing, we’ll potentially be hiking with individuals who are vaccinated/unvaccinated. It’s each person’s choice to participate on this outing.

Webinar Registration - ZoomParks have the potential to protect their cities. Through green stormwater infrastructure (GSI), parks can become active defenses against flooding while also enhancing biodiversity, reducing urban heat, improving public health, and creating new green amenities.
As the largest natural spaces in cities, parks hold great potential for GSI but often go underutilized due to various challenges.
Join us to explore how Boston, MA, and Tucson, AZ are bringing GSI to life in their parks through partnerships between parks and water agencies. Discover these real-world examples for collaboration on capital projects, community engagement, planning, and maintenance. Plus, learn about brand new resources from City Parks Alliance to help you make the case for implementing GSI into your city's parks' win-win for urban resilience.
