What we’re about
"LICH" refers to a creature in popular fantasy fiction...a great magician or a great king of high intellect-who succeeded in defying death and achieving immortality... The idea for this group started as a book club...a place to share and discuss books and mingle with like minded book lovers...a place to act as a catalyst to rekindle the dying passion to read...and a place to attract and encourage others to cultivate the habit of reading...which should not be limited, but encompass all forms of literature...and not just reading but narrating, writing etc... On more thought felt the need to exercise and invigorate the intellect of today's individual who is caught up in the rut of all work and no play(for the mind) and the distractions all around dulling the mind...through various activities like puzzles, crosswords, games etc... Not limiting to the above two, further felt it essential to develop our culture in all forms...from philosophy to art...from science to lifestyle...and all forms of knowledge, learning and creativity... And hence the group to help each one of us become a "LICH" and a part of the Immortals of the Past Present and the Future

Dear friends,
We will be having our regular meets on the First Wednesday of Every Month and the Third Sunday of Every Month if the month has Four Sundays (OR) the Fourth Sunday if the month has Five Sundays i.e. the Penultimate Sunday of Each Month.
On Wednesday, though it happens to be a working day, we meet in the evening before we venture home, to rustle our literary and creative minds, which should work as a catalyst in tuning ourselves for the whole month. The other weekend Sunday afternoon provides an opportunity for those who cannot make it to the weekday meets.
Session Format:
The following is the basic format for our meets. However, we do not stick to a format and let the meet follow its natural flow.
Half Hour : Introductions
One Hour : Sharing of own creative works/excerpts/anecdotes/information/experiences/insights etc. by each individual.(Compulsory)
Half Hour : Ideate on upcoming meets.
One Hour(till one wants to leave) : Continue with discussions which might have stemmed up during the session so far, discuss anything pertaining to the mutual interest of the members present or just have fun with some puzzles/games etc.
