What we’re about
While this group is primarily intended for lesbians over fifty, it is open to all friendly women-identified hikers regardless of age and sexual orientation. Our goal is to bring open-minded people together to appreciate the amazing outdoor environment that surrounds us in the Bay Area. Our focus is on moderate hikes, both in terms of distance and elevation gain. Most are in the 5-8 mile range, with an occasional 10-miler. We stop for lunch unless otherwise noted. Join us and make new friends while enjoying nature.
Please include a recognizable and recent photo of you in your profile, and review the Hiking Preparation Guide before signing up for a hike (under More > Discussions).
For the safety of hikers and to protect the environment, RSVP’s are limited for each event. Parking is limited at some locations and carpooling is encouraged. A limited number of well-behaved dogs are welcome in parks that allow them; please contact event organizer if you would like to bring your furry friend.
