Clear Lake NPSOT Meeting
University of Houston-Clear Lake
Bayou Building, Forest Room (B1418)
Great Speakers! Please join us!
We gather at 6:30pm to sign in and enjoy some social time. Chapter business is taken care of at 6:45pm, and the program starts at 7:00pm. As well as the featured speaker we have a Plant of the Month, and seed and/or plant giveaways.
Please check out and subscribe to our chapter website to be kept up to date with all of our events: http://npsot.org/wp/clearlake/
You do not need to be a member of the Society to attend any of our meetings, however if you would like to become a member there will be an opportunity to join at the meeting or you can do so online. For more information about the Native Plant Society of Texas and the benefits of membership please visit: npsot.org (http://npsot.org/)
Parking - please read carefully.
The University of Houston Clear Lake does charge for parking during our meeting time while classes are in session - so we suggest you carpool. Visitor parking costs $5 and is payable at the pay stations adjacent to visitor parking lots.
$1 parking passes are available to Native Plant Society Clear Lake Chapter members. These passes are good for the academic year and are sold on a first come first serve basis, however we anticipate having enough for everybody who wants one.
Please note that the parking passes expire each year. Please arrive a little early if you would like to buy a pass, so that you have enough time to return to your vehicle and place it on your dashboard. The price is still a bargain at $1.
For a campus map and visitor parking and pay station locations, please visit: public.uhcl.edu/maps (https://public.uhcl.edu/maps/)
Visitors without parking passes: (Please refer to campus map.) Parking in Lot R is your easiest option as the self service ticket machine is nearby. Enter the Bayou Building through the front doors, it will be the building right across the street with a large sculpture in front of it.
If you have a parking pass or plan to join NPSOT and buy one: (Please refer to campus map.) Use Student Lots D1, D2, D3, or D4. Lot D1 is closest to the Bayou Building but is generally busy during the semester. Please also be aware that certain sections are marked off for staff and faculty parking. The Bayou Building is the square dark brown building, to the left of the glass building.
If you have already purchased a parking pass - please do not forget to bring it with you and place it on your dashboard.

Registration
There is no charge for this event, but please register as seating is limited and we can plan better if we know how many people to expect. Also, it makes it easy to contact everybody with updates or additional information both before and after the event. Ignore the instruction to print out the ticket - there is no need to do that.
