What we’re about
California Writers Club members write novels, short stories, screenplays, poetry, nonfiction articles, books, and more. Over half are published. Established in 1909, the mission is to educate writers of all genres and levels of expertise in the craft and marketing of their work.
The Orange County chapter meets monthly as a community of writers inspired to learn more about literary tools and the business of writing.

Keep in mind that readers will be limited to official members of the CWC. Guests will not be invited to read at this event. However, this is a good way to learn about the members. Come enjoy the original writings from heartfelt to humorous to mesmerizing to mysterious, discover kindred spirits among OC's finest writing community.
In January our featured speaker format will return as the CWC Orange County chapter continues to provide education, inspiration, and motivation to local writers. But in the spirit of the holiday season, we take the time to get to know each other just a little better this month and share some written gems. Come join us!

We are returning back to our century-old roots when the club founders met inside coffee shops and restaurants to discuss the writing craft. Featured speaker meetings will include networking, author book signings, and more. The Anaheim Packing House is excited to host our group in a historic building has been converted into a “food hall” hosting dozens of food vendors. This will be a great place to grab your morning coffee or pastry, and then listen to our featured speaker.
