What we’re about
Outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, white water rafting, canoeing, kayaking, disc golf, biking, tubing, & more events such as dining out, holiday celebrations, house parties, game nights, cooking, etc. Our members are primarily 45 and up...both singles and couples are welcome, but anyone 21+ is welcome. Special requests can be approved. Outdoor events are rated easy, moderate, moderate-strenuous or strenuous. FEES: It's free to join this club. Some events may have a cost associated with them to pay for food, camping fees, etc.

Experience this 6.2-mile loop trail near Cornelia, Georgia. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 3h to complete. It is heavily wooded and the leaves should be beautiful this time of year. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash. There is an additional 1 mile to and from the trail making the total 7.2 miles. There is an elevation gain of 1,069 ft on this loop trail.
We will walk 2.25 miles per hour. Poles are at your discretion.
If you have enough energy (optional) we will add the 4 mile Sourwood Loop Trail but there is a shortcut where you can do half of it for 2 additional miles.
We will run one car pool from I-985 at exit 4 at 8:30 am SHARP. The parking lot is on the south and west side of the intersection. If you are coming from the south from 85 north exit at exit 4 and make a left, over 985 and you will see the parking lot on the left. Go to the next light Satellite Blvd and make a left and then an unknown left into the parking lot. We park near the flashy motor bike shop in front of us.
We are encouraging carpooling so you don't get lost. Also to save the $5 parking fee. This is a federal site and the America the Beautiful pass is accepted. Make sure you carpool with someone wanting to go the same distance as you. I will organize.
