Exercise Guide: Parker Mill County Park

This is one of our set of Exercise Guides, trying to help and encourage you to get out to enjoy nature.
Parker Mill County Park has some small trails along Fleming Creek and in a nice little, wet woodland. Follow them to the end to see where the mouth of Fleming Creek opens onto the Huron River. Along the way, pass a gigantic Oak and some artesian springs. Enjoy two tunnels as well - under Geddes and under the railroad. Great adventure for kids of all ages.
There are about 1.5 miles of trails at Parker Mill. There is also a paved path that connects to the Border-to-Border trail if taken south and to the Matthaei Botanical Garden Trail if taken north.
There is also a neat pavillion on the north side of Geddes that I somehow forgot to photograph. If someone would upload a picture of it, I'd be grateful.
There are occasional tours or open houses at the Parker Mill (pictured). Here is a neat little video tour of the mill:
