Simply Social Meetup Group welcomes - singles, couples and friends who are between 50 and 65 years old and simply looking for others to socialize within the Port Macquarie region.

If you are between 50 and 65 years old and looking to enjoy social events with others, then maybe our group would suit you. You only have to be friendly and fun to join! BRING A SENSE OF HUMOUR PLEASE!!!

Simply Social is a relaxed group with the intention to have a few events a month, on evenings and weekends, to simply kick back and be social. This is a fantastic way to come together for the occasional coffee, movie, lunch, cruise, after work drinks and dinners etc.

The best groups are where the members contribute ideas, so we encourage and welcome anyone to suggest events or even host an event for the group…its easy and fun!

 A couple of points to know before you join…

Can I join if I'm older than 65 years? This group caters for the 50 - 65 year old age group, there are other Meetup groups in the Port Macquarie area to cater for a diverse community of people from all walks of life, ages and interests.

Is this group a Singles/Dating Group? No. Simply Social is, as the name suggests, a 'social' group for couples, friends and singles alike to get together to socialize in a relaxed fun environment.

Are there other Meetup Groups in the area? Yes, there are numerous Meetup groups in the Port Macquarie & surrounding area, and you are welcome to join multiple groups that interest you, depending on their requirements to join. Meetup runs throughout Australia and around the world, in larger cities there are hundreds of Meetup Groups created for a wide range of interests and ages such as exercise groups, singles groups, film buffs, French speaking groups, travel groups…the list goes on. If you are in a different age group or have different interests to what we offer, we encourage you to join another Meetup group, or even start a new Meetup group yourself. :-)

Member Photograph & Profile Name When creating your Meetup profile, we require you to use your actual First Name (the Profile Name is only visible to other Simply Social members) and upload a clear headshot photo (face must be clear), this helps us recognise each other at an event and is our requirement to join this group. *If the photo is not a clear photo of your face you will be asked to change it before being accepted to join.

Membership Fees To operate a Meetup Group and use the Meetup website platform for events each Meetup Group is charged a non refundable annual fee. To help cover this and keep these fun Meetup events happening throughout the year, we ask a $10 membership fee, per calendar year. If you join after June 30th, it is $5 per member for the remainder of that year.

Active Members Simply Social would like to maintain an active, intimate group, so our requirement for each member is to come along to at least 4 events per annual year. If there has been no attendance, we assume you have decided this group is not for you, and the system will naturally remove your membership. However, should you decide that you are ready to come along to some events, then please feel free to re-join.
