What we’re about
This is a meet up for people interested in bicycle riding as a means of bringing more activity into your life. This group would be perfect for people wanting to bike at a slower pace than other groups. We'll pedal about 10-12 mph, typically taking about 1.15 hours to circle the 11-mile route around White Rock Lake, stopping for ducks, turtles, geese, sailboats, or anything else that catches our attention. We'll typically socialize at a nearby pub after the ride.
Older, younger, singles, couples -- all are welcome. To ride with the group, you need two things: a helmet and lights for your bike (white in front, red in back). You can get those things just about anywhere: Target, Amazon, REI, any bike shop. Please wear a helmet to all rides.
One more thing. You need to be able to handle the loading and unloading of your own bike. If you’re looking for your Prince Charming, he’s not here!
So that we know who to look for on rides, please include an actual picture of yourself, circa 21st century, in your profile.
Finally, you are an adult and assume all risks associated with cycling and other activities. By signing up for an event, you agree to these terms.
Now that you are interested and ready to ride, let’s roll!
