You will participate in exercises designed to improve your acting skills for camera. Video feedback is part of the format of this class. What you think you are doing on camera, and what you are actually doing, are two different visuals. This class will assist you to become more comfortable ON CAMERA. And will enhance and boost your confidence level, that in turn will increase your chances of BOOKING the role.
Actors Self Talk:
When auditioning for smaller roles, have you had the following thoughts?
"Am I overthinking it?" "I don't have enough time to show them anything!" "What's the backstory?" "I don't have enough information."
"How do I stand out?" "I feel like it's all a big crap shoot." "What does the casting director want to see?" "There's not much to work with in 1 or 2 lines." "Only one (1) word" - What?
In this class, you'll learn how to audition for camera, episodic television, commercials and film, and learn the differences between all the media!
Everyone works in each session. You'll work alone, work with other actors, and we work with playback.
We go over Commercials, Film, TV, Episodic, Streaming, Continue with Basic Camera Techniques, Memorization Techniques that apply to all media.
Class closes on week #1. If you decide to take the class and cannot make the first or any class, just communicate - you will be allowed to attend the 6-week session. Just communicate the week you cannot attend.
