What we’re about
Like to play or want to learn to play the ukulele at the south Jersey shore? This is the group for you. We will be playing and singing at regularly scheduled meet-ups (get togethers) at the Central United Methodist Church in Linwood, or the Ocean City Library on the Second Floor Art Center at 17th and Simpson St. and outdoors at The Avalon Boardwalk at 30th and Avalon St. You now have two locations a month to play at over the summer, or if you can't make both you can choose one or the other.
We are sponsored by Grass Roots Music located at 1045 Asbury Ave. in Ocean City, where ukuleles, supplies and lessons are available.
Music will be posted prior to the meetings on the individual meet up notices on our website. We play all genre of music, and all level of experience is welcome.
In addition to group play. we've created an Orchestra so we can entertain outside community organizations although Covid has interrupted that activity. We intend to continue performing for outside groups once we are positive its ok to do so.
