What we’re about
The Film Circle's mission is to offer a casual, weekly forum for people to view and discuss indie, foreign and classic films and meet others who share this interest.
We schedule films several times a month in the Baltimore area followed by a meal at a nearby restaurant with lively and informative conversation, encouraging attendees to offer their honest critiques.
Once you have joined, you can go to the Events page, click on the scheduled film title and see a summary and the trailer for each film. You will also see where to meet, other members who are attending, and any comments they have made. (Please post a clear picture of yourself so that we can recognize you when we meetup.)
There is no charge to join the group or attend the events. You must buy a ticket for the film and pay for any food or drinks you have.
Your film suggestions are welcome. Just message the organizer.
In the words of Roger Ebert, "The movies are like a machine that generates empathy. It lets you understand a little bit more about different hopes, aspirations, dreams and fears. It helps us to identify with the people who are sharing this journey with us." This group's purpose is to bring together people to reflect on filmed artifacts of these journeys
The Film Circle was started by Dave in 2014.
