Walks by Water - walking, hiking London

A most stunning 9 mile stretch of the Kennet and Avon canal from lovely idyllic Bradford on Avon to Bath, culminating in the famed beautiful spa town replete with its famous baths and Royal Crescent and unique distinctive fantastic sandstone architecture.

Please arrive by 8.50am to buy group return train tickets to Bradford on Avon and we shall be taking the 9.32am train that arrives in Bradford on Avon at 11.16am after changing at Bath Spa.

Please bring £50 in cash to expedite the purchase of group train tickets.

Or you may decide to drive.

The walk shall start at around 11.30pm.

At the end of the walk leaving the canal at around 4.15pm we shall spend an hour or two at the famed Christmas Market in Bath.

Likely train back at 6.13pm that arrives in London at 7.37pm.

Please bring packed lunch, water, snacks etc plus waterproof jacket and walking shoes or trainers.

You should be able to walk 2.5 miles per hour and have adequate and appropriate insurance for this type of activity.

A lovely stroll by the well lit Thames on a winter's evening approaching Christmas !

We shall set off at 6.45pm and walk for around 4 miles taking in Millennium and Tower Bridge before having a drink at around 8.30pm.

Please bring water and snacks and wear appropriate footwear and dress up warm.

Come join us for this wonderfully varied and beautiful 9 mile walk whereby we shall walk by the River Cam into Cambridge, then through Cambridge itself and finally a most idyllic walk through the water meadows to Grantchester where we shall have tea at the wondrous Orchard Tea Rooms.

We shall then take taxis back to Cambridge.

Or you may decide to walk back to Cambridge.

If you prefer you can choose to end your walk at Cambridge itself for a walk of 5 to 6 miles.

We shall meet at 9.30am to buy return group train tickets to Waterbeach and take the train at 10.10am that arrives at Waterbeach at 11.12am.

The walk shall commence at 11.15am.

This is not a circular walk and back at Cambridge you would need to take either a taxi or a very short train journey back to Waterbeach to get back to your car if you had driven to the start of the walk.

Easyjet flight from Gatwick at either 8am, 11.35am or 1.40pm to South Tenerife.

Ferry to La Gomera mid or late afternoon ( or before 10am Monday morning if you stay in South Tenerife on Sunday night )

Afternoon - meet Cafe Bar Cocao Edificio Tania local 2 Av de Colon - 1.45pm for 2pm - circular coastal walk between San Sebastian de la Gomera and Playa de la Guancha - 7 to 8 miles

Full day coastal hike travelling by line 2 bus covering the north part of the island for Las Rosas to Vallehermoso walk - 7/8 miles

Hike in National Park of Garajonay travelling by line 1 bus - 7/8 miles - Pajarito circular

Meet Cafe Bar Cacao 9.30am for 9.45am

Barranca de la Villa low level canal walk - 4 to 5 miles - walk finished by noon

Afternoon - ferry to South Tenerife anytime as from 2pm

Walking and hiking in the Great Outdoors presents certain low level risks and by rsvping to this trip you agree to undertake such risks.
