New Event! Thanksgiving / Friendsgiving!

I am recreating this event as the original was not allowing attendees to pay. Otherwise, it is almost identical. If you RSVP'd earlier please do so again here. And please let me know if you have any trouble. Thank you!

There are several restaurrant choices that are open on Thanksgiving. First I will list the the restaurants that I don't think will work and why. It is a holiday and restaurants are doing a special menu, so please keep that in mind.
1. The Cavalier Hotel, Crystal Ballroom, Virginia Beach. $85++ for the buffet. This seems too expensive.
2. Cracker Barrel: They don't take reservations so we are not guaranteed to sit together. This is too risky.
3. Swan Terrace at the Founder's Inn: $57++. The menu looks amazing, but this might be a little on the formal side.

And now for the two restaurants that could work:
1. The Rustic Spoon Red Mill: They are offering a 3-course Thanksgiving meal with appetizer, entree and dessert. The cost is $50++. Adult beverates / additional items will be separate and on your own. I've enjoyed the food at the Pleasure House location. I have made a reservation for 20 people at 2:30 and the seating would likely be at two tables, a 12 top and 8 top, but the reservation is guaranteed and we can increase or decrease as needed.
2. Captain George's Seafood Restaurant on Laskin Rd.: They will offer their regular buffet along with Thanksgiving meal offerings. Something for everyone! They, too, are $49.99++ (or $63.24 which includes water and gratuity; sodas, tea, adult beverates will be separate and on your own.) They do require a 15 person minimum for a reservation. But, this is probably the better value --if you come hungry! So if we get 15 people we can make a reservation!

Since the cost is the same for both restaurants, I will set the fee at $63.24. Meetup charges a .037% fee + $1.25 if you pay through this site. We can see how many sign up and make a decision from there. I know this seems expeensive but it is the least expensive I've seen of the options. If you want to attend but this is cost prohibitive, please private message me and I'll look into options. Please do not be concerned about signing up and paying in advance. I am not trying to make a profit; I am only wanting to bring us together for this special holiday. I will be transparent. And if something comes up and you need to cancel, you will get a refund. But please only sign up if you are serious so that we can make the best possible plan. Looking forward to seeing you on Thanksgiving!!
