Christmas Charity Hike & Brunch Sunday December 15, 2024
8:30am Easy 2 mile RT creek side stroll.

Break out your Santa hats and Christmas costumes on this annual holiday event! After 14 years of climbing South Mountain, Santa is tired and opting for an easy peaceful stroll in the Jewel of the Creek Preserve in Cave Creek! The Jewel of the Creek Dragonfly Loop trail meanders through lush Cottonwoods and Willow trees and crosses Cave Creek two times via wooden planks! Watch for butterflies and deer!

$50 REI Gift Card for the BEST COSTUME!

$25 suggested donation to FRIENDS OF THE TONTO NATIONAL FOREST, a non profit organization that works with the Forest Service to inventory and manage wildlife water sources, monitor and remove invasive plants, improve Monarch butterfly habitats and so much more! We'll enjoy a Christmas potluck afterwards at my house! Address and gate code will be provided closer to the event!

Bring: Santa hat/holiday garb, water, potluck item and donation. If you need to plug in a crockpot before the hike, just let me know!!
