Random Stuff in Bristol: Golden Hill and Horfield Common
Details
Thursday afternoon at 2:00
Steve is on a course for twelve weeks on a Monday morning and so our Random Stuff in Bristol walks will variously take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in either the morning or afternoon. Hopefully this will give everyone the chance to attend our popular social walks across Bristol occasionally during this three month period.
Payment is in advance for this tour. Once you have booked your place on Meet Up, Steve will be in touch about paying the walk fee to secure your place.
Two hours of guided walking in attractive surroundings with pleasant company. The focus is very much on getting to know your fellow walkers, fresh air and gentle exercise.
On these Random Stuff in Bristol sessions we simply stroll along and see what we come across in the way of wildlife, history, geography and geology. There is also plenty of time to chat about random stuff that comes up along the way.
Our starting point is a great little community garden project that featured on BBC Gardeners' World in August. We will explore the local area and see what there is to discover in Victorian Horfield.
We take coffee at the end of our Random Stuff walks.
This is a great opportunity for a bit of leg stretching and some tongue wagging along the way. Exercise, socialising and learning are three out of the five steps to mental wellbeing.
As is our custom a historical travelogue style article based on Steve's research notes will be sent out to participants after the event.
A Walk in the Past is a friendly group where regulars and newcomers are always welcome. Our aim is to combine a good walk with pleasant company in historic landscapes.
