This event will be online and in-person. The speaker and live stream starts at 7:30 pm ET. In-person attendees may arrive as early as 7 pm ET.

Description
Get an overview of Verizon's lab that opened on May 16, 2024, at Verizon's GAAD Event. Fred will talk about:

  • Why Verizon committed to creating the Accessibility Technology & Innovation Lab
  • What is in the lab
  • Purpose of the lab (Hint: Nothing about us without us)
  • How you can visit the lab

There will be time for your questions.

Presenter bio
Fred Moltz is the Chief Accessibility Officer at Verizon. Fred’s experience includes over 24 years at Verizon in multiple strategic and leadership roles, including the last nine years building Verizon’s Accessibility Program from the ground up.

Fred’s mission is to provide continued leadership that incorporates Accessibility by Design in all aspects of Verizon that will provide exceptional experiences for all employees and customers. Fred and his team work daily to engage everyone and reimagine accessibility. In addition to his daily responsibilities, Fred serves on the Board for Disability Rights New Jersey.

The presentation will have human captions [CC], not automatic captions. There will be an ASL interpreter.

Location details
The event is on the 4th floor. Everyone must be accompanied to the event on the 4th floor. Because everyone needs to be escorted, please arrive early or on time. When you enter the ground floor, ask for Ben Ogilvie from A11yNYC to get elevator access.

Attendees can enter on the third floor and go up the staircase, or request accommodation to go directly to the 4th floor. Thanks to Ben Ogilvie for making this possible! Let us know if you're coming!
