At present, I am the only one running the group which means members are only able to 'MeetUp' when I can add and host social events.

It would be great if other members of the group were keen to host events to help out where possible. As mentioned before, the group is what you make of it and I'm not available to host everything.

There isn't much to do for hosting really but i understand not everyone is comfortable with it.

- Find a time that's convenient for you which you can definitely commit to being available for.
- Decide of what sort of social event you wish to do - eg. pub drinks, walking, coffee meet, lunch, cinema, bowling, mini golf etc.
- If necessary, book a table/reserve an area. Usually only needed for pub drinks at peak time.
- Add the event up (or ask me to do so) with information, meeting place, limit on numbers etc
- Ensure you turn up to the event on time.
- When people turn up, simply say Hello!
- If for whatever reason you as the host can't make it, let people know in plenty of time and give the opportunity for someone else to host or cancel the event if necessary before people make their way to the location.

Please let me know if you wish to host and I can either add your event up or give you permissions to do so yourself, if we've spoken before.

My apologies the group has no active events at the moment. I have been unavailable over the Christmas period. The busiest period in my job is January (possibly February now too) and unfortunately this does mean working extra hours. The free time I do have will be for me personally.

Although double jabbed, with covid cases rising high at the moment, I do not wish to risk mingling with too many people and being either contacted by track & trace or increasing my chances of catching the virus and having to isolate for any period of time, during my busy work spell.
