What we’re about
We are a friendly, English-language writing group based in Abu Dhabi. We welcome beginners and professionals alike, especially those who say things like "I'm not a writer" or "I might be a writer" or "I think I might like to someday write something".
Our main goals are to connect with one another, and help each other improve/complete/begin our writing. It is free to join us and to attend any of our events.
Beginning 10 September, we'll meet at RUSH cafe in Al Bateen.
We are an informal group and use the sessions to motivate and give feedback on each other's work, whether that be a novel, poem, blog post or flash fiction. Members are encouraged to read their work out if they wish or post it for others to read online. We have a website where people can post, either just for the group to workshop a piece, or for the public to enjoy.
We also have a weekly Writer's Hour, a Zoom session dedicated to working on your own projects in the company of other writers. The session is divided between active (but silent) individual writing and short discussion breaks.
As always, we welcome any ideas, requests and suggestions from our members.
