Email: [email protected] - JiaMing Lake Trek (3310m) (10-14 Dec 2024) - TaiwanJiaming Lake, Taitung
Our final trek of the year to Jiaming Lake is in December. Make sure you don't miss out—sign up by 4th August!
Jiaming Lake (嘉明湖), situated at an elevation of 3310m, holds the distinction of being Taiwan's second-highest lake, following Cuei Pond on Xueshan, which sits at 3520m. Known for its distinctive teardrop shape, Jiaming Lake is affectionately referred to as "Angel’s Tear."
About The Trek
We start the trip in Hualien, do a 3 days trek and end the trip in Taipei.Jia Ming Lake trek is a 13km trail from Siangyang Forest Recreation Area to the lake and covers 2 of the 'top 100' peaks in Taiwan - Mt Siangyang (3602m) and Mt Sancha (3496m). Like Yushan and Xueshan, the Jia Ming Lake's trail is clear and well marked. The route begins in a pine and hemlock forest in the lower terrain. As you ascend beyond Siangyang Cabin, the forested area soon open up to become a ridge line of rolling hills filled with rhododendron bushes and wind-twisted alpine juniper all the way to Jia Ming Lake Cabin. From Jiaming Lake Cabin to the lake, the trail runs along the lower edge of a ridge skirting a chain of rugged peaks. The lake itself is down from Mt Sancha (Sānchā Shān; 3496m) in an open area.
Experience Required
Good to have below 3000m trekking experience. You will be trekking for three days from the trail head to the summit with a 5-6kg backpack load. Day 2 is a long day of around 10 hours. At times, when there is a dry spell and water is not available in the mountain huts, you will be expected to carry drinking water for the trek, which can increase the backpack load to 8-10kg. Though hiring of porters is possible, the cost is high (about S$200/day). Therefore, it is more realistic to train and be prepared to carry your own load.Package details:

Email: [email protected] - Mt Kilimanjaro Trek with a Singapore Trek Leader - 15 - 24 Feb 2025Needs location
"Hakuna Matata" is a phrase in the East African language of Swahili that literally means "no trouble" or "no problems". And yes, Africa is calling! We are organising a trek to the highest point of the Africa continent - Mt Kilimanjaro!
Not only is Mt Kilimanjaro the highest mountain in Africa, it is the highest freestanding mountain in the world. Standing at 5895m above sea level, Mt Kilimanjaro is also the highest mountain that can be climbed without technical equipment and climbing skills. For the most part, it takes just putting one foot in front of the other. Although this sounds simple, it is most likely the toughest challenge you will ever face.
Joanne will be leading this trek, and if you think you want to try trekking higher than 5000m, then this trip is worth a try with the support of our experienced trek leader!
