Join us for "**A Visit From St. Nicholas *or* The Night Before Christmas**" at Colonial Players, a community theater right in downtown Annapolis.

Play Description: "On Christmas Eve, 1822, Clement Clarke Moore's house is not as quiet as a mouse—in fact, everyone is stirring. The three children await the arrival of St. Nicholas. Mother and Father arise thinking they hear intruders. Cousin Harriet enlists the children to copy the poem their father has just written for them, which she hopes to have published for all young people to enjoy. But Father, as a distinguished professor who fears being known as a poet for children, burns the poem so it can never leave the house. At first heartbroken, the children unite to save the poem for posterity by improvising it through a riotous enactment. How they convince their father that his verses should be shared with children everywhere brings about the hilarious, happy ending.

NOTE: Though considered “full length”, this show runs less than an hour. It is intended for this show to be supplemented with non-scripted material presenting holiday stories/songs from various countries and cultural communities."

The play starts at 2pm; for people who are interested in joining us for lunch in advance, we'll meet at Galway Bay at noon so we have plenty of time to eat and socialize before heading to the venue (located about a block away). If you would like to meet us there, we'll meet in the lobby around 1:30 so we can pick up tickets before making our way into the theater for the 2pm show.

\*\* If possible, get your tickets in the 3rd/4th Row of Section C ... If the first few people to buy tickets can leave a comment with your seat assignment, others can then use that to buy tickets in close proximity. However, it's a small theater, and we won't be talking during the play anyway, so nearby is fine -- if you get tickets in the C section, we'll all be nearby.
