Active Seniors Adventures is a non-profit 501c3 active and adventurous Meetup group for "active" seniors 55+ to engage in fun-filled activities, build relationships and expand their horizons. Activities such as nature walks, biking, camping, hiking, historical tours, fishing, sports, exercises, concerts, dining, cook outs, workshops and more, will be held online, indoors and outdoors. Membership is in process to bring lots of benefits and we thank you for choosing to join! We look forward to meeting you and engaging in fun-filled, relationship building, activities and adventures to expand our horizons! Thank you and we'll look to see you soon. 😊

Active Seniors! The "Blue Ridge Train Ride is scheduled for October 12th! A nice cool fall day to take a ride into serenity and enjoy the breathtaking mountainous fall scenery, while finding some peace, tranquility and spending time with ASA friends!!!!
Now accepting your reservation(s)! —the total cost for a group rate including tax and service fee is $102. We need at least 15 ASA friends to make this happen!!!!

This is a Day Trip that starts at the historic depot in downtown Blue Ridge, Georgia, riders take a four-hour, 26-mile roundtrip journey along the Toccoa River through the North Georgia countryside. The first leg of the adventure takes riders on a one-hour trip to the quaint sister towns of McCaysville, Georgia and Copperhill, Tennessee, nestled deep in the mountains on each state’s line. Passengers enjoy all the towns have to offer during a two-hour layover before taking the one-hour return trip through the scenic forest and back to the depot in Blue Ridge, Georgia.
This cost includes the Premier Car with the following:
-Air Conditioning
-Complimentary group photo (1 per reservation)
-Unlimited Non-Alcoholic Beverages
-Reclining Seats
-Catered snack (small meal with desert) made fresh and delivered every morning
-Restrooms available during trip
-Riders in the Premier Car also have the opportunity to go to the Open Car to take scenic picturesTRAIN DEPARTURE
The train leaves at 10:00 AM- It is recommended that you and your guest arrive 45 minutes prior to departure. This will provide adequate time for you to park and pick up your ticket(s) from me.
- We will be allowed to board the train 30 minutes prior to departure.
- No alcohol, smoking, or vaping are allowed on the train.
- No outside food allowed, only you may bring water
- Trips go Rain or Shine
- There are pay parking lots and garages
The train WILL NOT wait on late passengers!!!
Leave home in plenty of time to park and make the train!!!*****This ticket is a day trip and does not allowed for overnight stay******
PARKING
There are a variety of parking options available in downtown Blue Ridge. Check the website view and Click Here to view and download the parking map. Weekends are our busiest days, so expect heavy traffic and limited parking.Directions from Atlanta:
- Take I-75 North to I-575 North. I-575 becomes Hwy. Follow all the way to Blue Ridge.
- Turn right at the second traffic light on to Cook Street (Burger King on the corner).
- Straight through the traffic light on to Mountain Street. Go approximately one block to parking on West Main Street or cross the track and use the city parking lot on the left (east side of tracks).
- The depot is on the east side of the tracks on Depot Street.
