We have done Otawa Trig many times from Quarry Rd so lets give it a go from Te Puke, Manoeka Rd. I have not done this track but Jim is going to lead the way. It starts by going to the reservoir and then continues up to the trig. A slightly shorter walk so once at the trig we may venture on a bit further making it about 2hrs each way.

If you are going to meet us there at the end of Manoeka rd at 9.45am, leave a message on here otherwise meet at Welcome bay hall.

Bring your lunch, snacks, 2l water, a jacket and sturdy shoes and poles are a great help.
If you have not done much hiking please let me know so that we can advise and support you.
