Starting and finishing at Carmichael Reserve carpark.
This walk is aprx 10 kms, lots of stairs & takes about 2 hrs, we walk at a good pace, not a leisurely stroll. I thought it was time again to give The Stairs Challenge Walk another crack.
From The Carmichael Reserve Walkway we exit up our first lot of STAIRS onto Princess Rd and then down into Westwood Street, up more steps taking us back to Bellevue and Windsor Road, then onto Otumoetai pools and down a few STAIRS to the walkway in behind the school. Coming out from Carlton Park we go up the walkway, just over 100 STAIRS (first section small groups stairs, large sections in between, the last sections are in groups with several landings in between) after that workout we go down Otumoetai Road and turn into Grange Road and Coach Drive. Walking along Waikareao Estuary, take the Darraghs Rd exit thru bush & up more stairs coming back to Otumoetai Rd. Then Lywood Place the walkway brings you onto Belleuve Rd, Millers Rd & thru The Gordon Carmichael Reserve back to our cars.
This will depend on the weather being fine.
