What we’re about
This is a group for anyone interested in meditation and mindfulness practices, specifically designed for while not limited to people with ADD/ADHD Attention Deficient (Hyperactivity) Disorder. As ADD/ADHD interferes with the development of a person’s self-control, tools and techniques that improve self-regulation can be of great help. Meditation is a type of mental training to helping you focus attention, balance your emotions, improve your relationships, and enhance your life.
Meditation does not always have to be in a form of sitting cross-legged with your eyes closed forever. With this group, you will experience physical and mindfulness exercises such as deep stretching, breathing, relaxation and active meditation. We will also be sharing ADD/ADHD related information, resources and experiences. Please dress comfortably to allow you to move freely for moderate physical activities.
About the organizers: Body & Brain Yoga Clark Center (http://www.bodynbrain.com/clark) is a holistic health center offering group and individual classes in Dahn Yoga, Tai-Chi, meditation, and more. Bamboo Insights LLC (http://bambooinsights.com) offers ADD/ADHD education and life coaching.
