Willawilla - Friday Evening Sunset Walk

Join us on Friday evening for a sunset walk followed by drinks and nibbles, if you choose, at the Edinburgh Hotel. Meet at McElligott's Quarry Reserve at the end of Carrick Hill Drive (not at Carrick Hill) near 48 Carrick Hill Drive, Mitcham. You can park along the road or in the reserve.
We will walk along the Yurrebilla trail through the grounds of Carrick Hill then through the University of Adelaide's Waite Reserve and around to the top of Willawilla (Brownhill) back down to where we started. The walk usually takes less than two hours. Dogs are not permitted.
This is a moderate hike with some steep bits, but mostly undulating. It is not recommended for those with bad knees or those who are not fit. There may be cattle along a portion of the walk. Total length is around 6 km. Bring water to drink and wear appropriate walking gear. If you bring a + 1, ensure that they are able to do this hike and understand the conditions of AW&J.
