Explore the vast and varied landscape of the ‘miniature continent’ of Gran Canaria on this two-centre holiday.
Often referred to as a miniature continent with its extraordinarily varied landscapes, volcanic Gran Canaria offers world class walking. On this holiday we will discover its dramatic scenery on foot; exploring steep gorges, high peaks, and volcanic craters on well-made and maintained paths to take in sweeping views not just across the dramatic iconic rock formations of Gran Canaria but also across its coastline to neighbouring islands beyond.
All breakfasts and evening meals are included in the holiday cost (except for 1 free evening); however flights to Gran Canaria are not included. Once you have booked your place on the holiday, then please book your own flight.

Rising from the Atlantic Ocean just 28 miles from Land's End, the Isles of Scilly are a delight to visit and explore. These granite islands, fringed by rugged cliffs and sandy beaches, enjoy more sunshine hours than anywhere else in the UK and with just 6 ¼ square miles of land but over 50 miles of walking routes they offer splendid coastal walking as well as some beautiful inland routes. In order to maximise our time on the islands we use the arrival and departure days to explore the Island of St Mary’s. The ferry from the mainland arrives at 12 noon and departs at 4:30 pm giving plenty of time for walks on these days. On the 4 complete days we take the ferry to explore the neighbouring islands of Tresco, Bryher, St Agnes and St Martin’s.
For this holiday we will be staying in the luxurious St Mary's Hall Hotel, an elegant, refurbished townhouse on the edge of Hugh Town and close to the beach. Its restaurant is regarded as one of the best on the Isles of Scilly.
