Saturday Late AM Weeklies 4 Beg-Int Levels

This is my group’s OG meetup so adults in the big beginner/intermediate morning group(s) have a backup option if the AM events are full etc…(I like sleep). I really like having a mix of levels and the mix that shows up most week reflects that y’all don’t mind either. I appreciate everyone’s good sportsmanship and peoples desire to keep playing beyond our time. If the courts stay free and stuff. Even though we have to switch locations on Sunday will have night lights, so yay!

Moving forward, Alayna is going to help me co-host & sub-host events. Yay her! She will add some details about this week’s Sunday event & the future of our Sunday meetups as soon as I post the Sunday event for this week and can get her host access on my laptop. Stay tuned.

There are 2 courts at Lamar MS & at least 1 is always free right away, so just look for me &/or Alayna & we can stick to one court if we # 4- or spread out across 2. 8ppl max obvs cuz of 2 courts, so plz update rsvp’s, including your +1 guests, if plans change! Maybe I (we)’ll start allowing 10 people to RSVP so the first 2 waitlist people can make it for a group of 8 and just rotate w/others if all 8 other people show up.

If ur brand new, I can loan u a racket to use. One spare is a little smaller and one a little larger than standard size, just FYI, so try and grab the littler one (26”) if ur little and the bigger one (28”) if you’re a little bigger. Standard size is 27 inches, but I’m sure experienced players can adapt if they forget their own rackets.

Bring a drink, visor/shades/hat & LAYERS! Extra 🎾🎾help, too, JIC. Wearing layers strongly advised & I’d look for big sweats or track pants ez2 remove; I had to buy some today.. we don’t want to be awkwardly taking pants off in front of middle schoolers, who are often present for some kind of band practice or something and there isn’t a real bathroom as an alternative. Anyway, I got some at Goodwill for $8 and plan to get more. I think our later start time might help us not freeze to death or have to wear so many layers in the first place.
