Beautiful Perdekop Trail, With a Extra Section To The Ocean

Join us on this beautiful moderate to hard +-17 km circular trail just outside Plettenberg Bay, which takes approximately four to five hours.

The hike is suitable for hikers who are hiking fit.

Please be aware that I have not hiked the section that is in red, in the hike route map below. Therefore it is not certain we will be able to hike the full section in red.

We'll walk the route at a medium pace. Due to the elevation gain and distance of the hike, fast walking will be discouraged to enable everyone to take in the wonder of the scenery, the forest and the ocean views when we reach the ocean.

The hike starting point is 17 minutes drive from Plett and 19 minutes drive from Knysna.

Fees
Be sure to have signed up to the Adventure, Fun, & Social Meetup group as a full paid up member (Annual due / fee is $7.50). This way you avoid any of the Meetup groups event fees. Some of this Meetup groups existing members are on a free 30 trial with the option to sign up for a years membership to this Meetup group. Be sure to check weather you are still on the free 30 day Adventure, Fun, & Social Meetup group trial.
Cost to sign up as a full Adventure, Fun, & Social Meetup group member is $7.50 (+-R135.00 per year) a year. After you have signed up no individual Meetup event fees will apply to you once you have signed up and paid the annual Adventure, Fun, & Social Meetup membership due / fee.
Ask Steve for the process to sign up for the annual $7.50 due / fee if you are not already a full signed up Meetup member.
Refund Policy for NON-Meetup Members
No show at the event = no refund.
Cancelations two days or less prior to the event = no refund.

Car Pooling - IGNORE THE CONTRIBUTION SUGGESTION AS THIS HIKE IS VERY CLOSE
Suggest we all car pool and contribute to the cost of petrol to the driver. It's a long drive to the hike start point. So, folks traveling from Plett car pool and please contribute R80 towards petrol for the driver. Folks traveling from Knysna car pool and please contribute R40 for petrol to the driver.

What to bring
Snacks / food for the hike, good quality walking shoes, at least two litres of water, sun hat, insect repellent, clothes for all four seasons, and something to keep you dry just in case it rains.

Meeting time, meeting place, and logistics will be e-mailed to all on the attendee list a day before the event.

By adding myself to this Meetup events attendee list, I do hereby indemnify Steven Wright Krummeck, Meetup, and/or it’s representative/s, against all loss or injury while hiking, and or taking part in any Meetup event, and or traveling to or from Meetup events, or while involved in any Meetup activity.
